As a mother of two adventurous kiddos I find myself needing a great trucker hat to wear to the beach, water park, gym, concert, sporting event, school drop off or any indoor/outdoor gathering. Hats are fun and keep you cool. They make incredibly thoughtful and unique gifts. Custom snapbacks are awesome to give as a birthday present, rock with a bachelorette party, spoil a newlywed couple, promote a girl scout troop or create coordinating swag for a fun family themed vacation. Any idea you can come up with is a great reason to sport a trucker hat made with love with people you love.

I like to create and laugh with and without my kids. Crafting and creating are a common theme around our home. My husband is an excellent father, furniture designer and fabricator, a welder, a private chef and a wine maker. He is also a local business owner and full time operator of Mighty Cap Mushrooms. He grows the most beautiful, organic gourmet mushrooms on the central coast. Our kids spend a lot time making art projects, building (legos or furniture with dad) and designing to their hearts desire. They also like helping me make and customize hats in my office. We truly enjoy this wild adventure as a creative family. We love to laugh as we go and we prefer to not take life too seriously.

I started making custom trucker hats for friends and family and the requests started coming in. I offer local businesses and customers the option to pick and customize the hat of their dreams. CANCER WHAT!!!???

I never imagined this would be my journey. 2017 was brutal and became a year I'll never forget.  I was told several days before Christmas (2016) that I had a large tumor growing rapidly in my colon. After numerous tests, daily phone calls, many doctors appointments, sleepless nights and endless questions I underwent Colon Resection Surgery on January 26th 2017. I fought like hell to get to a qualified specialist at USC. They removed the tumor, a good amount of my intestines, 30 lymph nodes and confirmed it was in fact Stage 1 Cancer. At 37, I became a Colon Cancer Survivor. I found out through genetic counseling 6 months later that I have a mutation on my Chek2 gene. Unfortunately I am more prone to cancer then the average person. Specifically breast cancer so my medical "adventure" is not over just yet. In August 2018 I chose to have a prophylactic double mastectomy to ensure breast cancer would not affect my family further down the road. Recovery from this surgery is slow and once again I'm learning to take healing day by day and I am adjusting to my new normal. I am happy to share my story of courage, intuition, persistence and standing up for my health with others.  I'm grateful for my family, friends and fellow hat lovers that have raised me up when I needed it most. A little more about this mad hatter mama. Summer was raised in Avila Beach, CA. She has one older brother who also lives on the central coast. She graduated from Cuesta College and Santa Barbara School of Massage in 1997. She attended San Diego State University and Sonoma State University. She also studied abroad in Santander, Spain. Summer owned and operated a luxurious boutique day spa downtown Laguna Beach from 2000-2015. She married Christopher in 2009 and they relocated back to the Central Coast after living in the Dominican Republic while Chris built a night club in Punta Cana. They started their family shortly after in 2010 and bought their first home. In 2016 PasoRoblesMom was born and Summer has found her creative vibes blossoming into unique handmade hat designs enjoyed by many. She strives to ensure quality in everything she does and all she is.
